"GTA VI" release announcement has not yet been made by Rockstar Games. Rather, at present, the game developer is pretty busy with the sequel of "Red Dead Redemption." Even then, somehow, a box art surfaced in Brazil with the letter "GTA 6" written on it instead of roman numerals VI.
That is indeed surprising as the game developer has been constantly saying that the sixth installment of the game is still in works. It also means that Rockstar Games is not planning to announce its release anytime sooner. According to Counsel & Heal, a Reddit user shared the box art which leads to more confusion than excitement.
It is never easy to come out with a new video game or even a sequel so fast. So obviously the news about "GTA VI" is nothing but fake. However, there have been few speculations and predictions based on leaked reports. And those seem to be indeed true.
One of the sources says that the lead character in the upcoming game will be female. In the previous "GTA 5," Rockstar introduced three protagonists who are all male. Franklin, Michael, and Trevor lead the game in the fifth installment. That is why bigger change is expected in the upcoming "GTA VI," reports Neurogadget.
Especially, this time the main character will be a female because Rockstar already has received a lot of criticism from fans as well as analysts for its portrayal of women in its games. So, this time along the game developer may think of making the change.
Secondly, rumors also indicate that Rockstar is planning a brand new map for "GTA VI." Usually, the backdrop of any Rockstar games is any US city. However, this time along the game can be set somewhere in a foreign location.
The source also hints at Tokyo and London being the possible options as the rate of crime in these cities is much higher. Hence, they can aptly fit as the stage for crime in "GTA VI."
