Johnny Depp is up for another sensational scandal. Now, the actor gets into trouble due to his ultra-extravagant lifestyle that costs him a lawsuit from his former business management firm. Previously, Captain Jack Sparrow sued his management team at The Management Group (TMG) in a fraud lawsuit.
In his lawsuits, the actor's lawyer claims: "As a result of years of gross mismanagement and sometimes outright fraud, Mr. Depp lost tens of millions of dollars and has been forced to dispose of significant assets to pay for TMG's gross misconduct."
The story gets more interesting as TMG decided to fire back Depp with a cross-complaint. According to People, TMG claimed that their client has a lavish lifestyle that costs him $2 million per month while, in fact, he couldn't seem to afford it. In TMG's lawsuit, it was said that the firm demands Depp to pay up $560,000 unpaid commissions, including credit card fees. Furthermore, TMG also asks for a court declaration that Depp himself is responsible for his financial trouble.
According to TMG's documents, Depp has spent $75 million dollars to purchase 14 residences, $30,000 per month on wine, and $18 million on a luxury yacht. The ultra-extravagant spending doesn't include "small" wastes like $300,000 per month to maintain his 40 assistants, $200,000 a month for private jet rides, and $150,000 for security, as reported by US Magazine. In court papers, it was written that Depp's former management team had repeatedly warned the actor to set a prenup before marrying his now ex-wife, Amber Heard, which eventually costs him other millions of dollars for a divorce settlement.
TMG keeps mentioning that Johnny Depp is the only one to blame for his own financial crisis and that the management has done everything to protect Depp from trouble. Depp's lawyers have not given any comments regarding the lawsuit. The actor's recent legal battle comes within a month after his divorce with Amber Heard. Depp and Heard's divorce was reportedly followed by a series of rumors, from domestic violence to a fantastic required divorce settlement.
