"Game of Thrones" actor Ian McShane revealed some spoilers about his character, Brother Ray, but the fans didn't appreciate this spoiler, so McShane slammed them back. Similarly, "The Walking Dead" star Jeffrey Dean Morgan hit back on fans on Twitter when they expressed offense because of a T-shirt.
In the last "Game of Thrones" season, viewers saw the Hound (Rory McCann) find reprieve among Brother Ray's peace-loving people. They were, unfortunately, killed. However, "Game of Thrones" actor Ian McShane had commented about the Hound's reappearance prior to the scene, according to Metro.
This happened before the fans even saw Brother Ray aiding the Hound, whom many viewers feared had died. When bombarded by complaints from fans who didn't like the spoiler, "Game of Thrones" actor Ian McShane told them to get a life and to basically not take a fictional show too seriously.
"The Walking Dead" star Jeffrey Dean Morgan also made a comment regarding complaints from fans. Like "Game of Thrones" actor Ian McShane, Morgan made a simple, but offensive, comment on Twitter regarding a large issue about "The Walking Dead" T-shirt featuring a line that Negan, Morgan's character said in Season 6.
The merchandise features Negan's barbed baseball bat, Lucille, and the line, "Eeny Meeny Miny Moe". Negan had said this one when he was deciding which person to kill. It didn't bear well with fans, though, who know that there's something twisted about the line. Like "Game of Thrones" actor Ian McShane, Morgan called the fans who complained "stupid".
Aside from the obvious fact that the line refer to a very violent event on the show, it also refers to the rhyme, "Eeny, meeny, miny, moe, catch a tiger by the toe." By itself, the line doesn't sound offensive, but according to Harper's Bazaar, the original rhyme contained the N-word instead of "tiger". Both "Game of Thrones" actor Ian McShane and "The Walking Dead" actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan have slammed the complainants.
The merchandise was removed from many stores. Morgan shared the article on Twitter, slamming the people who called the shirt "racist" and "offensive". His fans followed suit and re-tweeted it 5,000 times. It seems that, like "Game of Thrones" actor Ian McShane, even Morgan has no patience or tolerance for complaints from fans.
