'Vikings' Season 5 Spoilers: Is Ragnar Lothbrok Alive? Travis Fimmel Spotted With The Cast?

"Vikings" Season 5 will return minus Ragnar Lothbrok. But is it really the case? A new photo circulating online gives hope to fans that Travis Fimmel's Ragnar Lothbrok might reappear in History's popular historical drama TV series.

Travis Fimmel was a significant character in "Vikings." His character, Ragnar Lothbrok was almost the life of the series but he faced his demise in the last season.

Lothbrok faced humiliations after his defeat but still got the courage to return home. Unfortunately, he was captured and was dropped into a snakepit where his nemesis King Aelle witnessed his downfall.

Even before the said episode, fans know that Ragnar Lothbrok will eventually die. In fact, his death was expected to happen in the earlier part of the series. Travis Fimmel is also aware of the fate of his character.

"I was meant to die at the end of the first year," Fimmel told Entertainment Weekly. "I ended up staying around for three more!"

Despite Lothbrok's death, fans are still hoping to see Fimmel in "Vikings" Season 5. The viewers of the popular TV series from History are longing to see the actor in the upcoming season and a photo seems to confirm that this is possible.

Katheryn Winnick shared a photo of the cast of "Vikings" Season 5. The image is harmless until some notice the man wearing a baseball cap. Many believe that it was Travis Fimmel, thus, opening the chances of seeing Ragnar Lothbrok in the upcoming season.

Unfortunately, if one will really examine the snapshot, you will realize that it's not Fimmel but Jordan Smith who plays Lothbrok and Aslaug's eldest son Ubbe. Fimmel and Smith have distinct similarities. The two "Vikings" stars love to wear ballcaps and have thick beards.

Viewers should stop hoping to see Ragnar Lothbrok in "Vikings" Season 5. Travis Fimmel already announced that his character was an atheist and would not love to return in any religious or ghostly form.
