‘Mission: Impossible 6’ Filming Details: What We Know So Far

There seems to be no stopping the "Mission: Impossible" franchise, as another sequel is set to start production next summer. There have been few details revealed so far about "Mission: Impossible 6," aside from a possible filming location.

"Mission: Impossible 6" brings back Tom Cruise as the lead character Ethan Hunter. The actor has since confirmed his return to the franchise in 2015 while promoting the release of "Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation."

However, details about Hunter's next espionage adventure in the installment remain unknown. If the ending in "Rogue Nation" is any indication, then it is expected that Ethan will once again team up with Isla (Rebecca Ferguson). Her parting message," You know where to find me," suggests he may need her help again possibly in "Mission: Impossible 6."

Regardless, each movie in the franchise differs. They each have their unique storyline and ending, so it remains unknown what storyline the writers plan for "Mission: Impossible 6."

Meanwhile, sources with knowledge of the film told The Hollywood Reporter that filming for "Mission: Impossible 6" will take place in Paris. This will not be the only filming location though, given the previous films featured different countries and cities, including Scotland and the Czech Republic, to name a few. At least fans get an idea what the setting in the installment will be like.

Likewise, Cruise had previously revealed that filming for "Mission: Impossible 6" will begin Summer of 2016. He revealed the filming schedule during an interview on The Daily Show, according to Mail Online. At that time he also revealed that the writers have started work on the sequel.

However, production was delayed because of the actor's dispute with Paramount about his pay. Now that Cruise's dispute is settled, filming is expected to begin in Spring. "Mission: Impossible 6" is set for release in the US on July 27, 2018.
