Samsung C Series smartphones are aimed at mid-range market, hence they feature mid-range specifications. Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro is one such smartphone that offers average specifications at a budget price.
Samsung quietly launched its C5 Pro smartphone in China. It is a smaller version of the Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro which was launched two months ago. It is available with a starting price of 2499 Yuan.
Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro uses a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display with full-HD resolution. This equates to a 424ppi pixel density and the phone has a 2.5D glass on top. The Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro has an all-metal unibody design and houses a fingerprint sensor in the home button, NDTV reported.
The smartphone also features an Always-On display just like the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 and shows time, date and other information. The Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 SOC with 4GB RAM, Android Authority reported. The internal storage is 64GB, which can be expanded using the SIM 2 slot that also accepts microSD card.
Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro comes with a 16MP camera with f/1.9 aperture which helps capture more light in dark environments. The camera also has a panorama mode and HDR mode to enhance the overall image quality. The front camera is a 16-megapixel shooter with f/1.9 aperture for great selfies even in low light. The rear camera can record full HD videos at 30 frames per second.
The Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro features a hybrid dual SIM slot that can accept a nano SIM or a microSD card. The phone has a set of all the usual sensors that include accelerometer, gyro, proximity and compass. The smartphone packs a 2600mAh battery which is relatively small and can provide up to 296 hours of standby time. The connectivity options include USB Type-C port, Bluetooth v4.2, 3.5mm audio jack, GPS, 4G LTE support and NFC. The global availability date is not yet confirmed by Samsung.
