"Gotham" Season 3 returns with Episode 15, "How the Riddler Got His Name." The second half of the season brings the Riddler and introduces a new villain sans the appearance of Batman.
Gotham is a much darker and evil city when "Gotham" Season 3 returns for its midseason on April 24. Executive producer John Stephens told Comicbook that the second half has seven or eight episodes of intense mayhem as the villains populate Gotham City.
A new villain enters by the name of R'as al Ghul (Alexander Siddig). DC Comics' Big Bad is bound to add problems to the already troublesome city, following the events in Episode 14, "The Gentle Art of Making Enemies."
According to Den of Geek, R'as al Ghul becomes Bruce's most dangerous enemy yet in "Gotham" Season 3. He controls the criminal operations in the city and is the man behind the Court of Owls. R'as al Ghul uses cunning and deception to get close to the young Bruce, but for whatever reason remains unknown.
Despite the chaos, Batman does not show up anytime soon in "Gotham" Season 3, according to David Mazouz, who plays the young Bruce Wayne. The caped crusader does not show up until it is necessary. Mazouz hints that Batman appears only when the city becomes a lot worse, which he says will definitely happen.
Likewise, Bruce still has to mature in "Gotham" Season 3 and stop being a people-pleaser. This trait does not really qualify him to be the Batman, who is a vigilante.
Speaking of chaos, Edward Nygma (Cory Michael Smith) completely transforms himself into the Riddler when "Gotham" Season 3 returns with Episode 15. A trailer for the episode titled "How the Riddler Got His Name" shows how Nygma lets his evil persona take over. He uses his passion for solving puzzles to commit crimes and turns Gotham City into his playground.
