One of the most anticipated devices of 2017 has been launched - the Samsung Galaxy S8. The smartphone will go head to head with Apple iPhone 7, and just like every year, there will be a fierce competition as to which is a better smartphone.
iPhone 7 was launched in October last year while the Galaxy S8 has been unveiled last week. Before Apple launches the radically designed iPhone 8, most users will have to make a choice between the two smartphones. There are key differences between on both smartphones, and those will be the deciding factors for the users and phone enthusiasts.
Samsung Galaxy S8 is a stunning smartphone that beats iPhone 7 in terms of design. There are no questions here, the beautifully crafted Galaxy S8 has a 5.8" display with 1440 x 2960 pixels which is being touted as the world's best display in a smartphone to date and it is one of the first smartphones to feature HDR display. The camera on the S8 is also superior in terms of quality than the iPhone 7, Forbes reported.
The hardware specifications for both the smartphones are completely different. Samsung Galaxy S8 uses a Snapdragon 835 SoC with 4GB RAM while the iPhone 7 uses A10 Fusion chipset with 2GB RAM. But the performance of Apple device is better because animations and stuttering are still present on the Galaxy S8 which ruins the user experience, Trusted Reviews reported.
iPhone 7 lags behind Galaxy S8 as some vital features are missing in the Apple device including a 3.5mm headphone jack and a microSD card slot and an iris scanner. Galaxy S8 also sports new Bluetooth 5.0 technology and fast charging that charges the smartphone up to 50% in just 15 minutes. Samsung Galaxy S8 is priced at $750 for 64GB model and comes with AKG headphones. iPhone 7 costs $649 for the 32GB model.
