‘Jane the Virgin’ Taps ‘Teen Wolf’ Star Tyler Posey As Jane’s New Love Interest After Michael

Tyler Posey snagged a recurring guest star spot on “Jane the Virgin” as someone from Jane Villanueva’s (Gina Rodriguez) past. He will make his first appearance in the Season 3 finale but will continue on the next season. Although not much is known on how Posey’s role figures in the story, he could be a childhood crush or Jane’s boyfriend before Michael (Brett Dier).

Tyler Posey has just wrapped up filming for the farewell season of “Teen Wolf” which will air this summer reports Deadline. He plays true alpha Scott McCall and has recently made his directorial debut on an episode of the hit MTV drama. Posey’s other recent credits include a voice role in the Disney animated series “Elena of Avalor.” He also appeared in the Kevin Smith film “Yoga Hosers.”

Jane can finally talk about Michael’s death without crying according TV Guide. It is a sign that she’s ready to date again. It can’t be with Rafael (Justin Baldoni) since he has fallen in love again with Petra (Yael Grobglas). It is highly possible that a new guy or someone from Jane’s past will be introduced as her love interest when “Jane the Virgin” returns.

Rafael will be supportive with Jane wanting to meet new guys. He even encouraged her to be more open-minded. This may really dash the hopes of Jane and Rafael fans but at least, they have established a deep friendship. They could hang on to this should they pursue a romantic relationship in the future in “Jane the Virgin.” Fans know that it was because of her friendship with Michael that made their relationship special. They can totally be honest with each other.

For now, Jane continues to have a crush on Rogelio’s (Jamie Camil) new co-star Fabian. Rogelio is trying to keep his daughter from his colleague but it seems that he is failing. “Jane the Virgin” Season 3 will return on April 24 on The CW.
