‘Jurassic World 2’ Spoilers: Colin Trevorrow Teases New Dinosaurs; Confirms T-Rex Return

Colin Trevorrow recently teased the appearance of a new generation of dinosaurs in "Jurassic World 2" on social media. The director also confirmed the return of the T-Rex in the sequel.

Trevorrow, who co-writes and produces "Jurassic World 2," has been leaking small details about the sequel on his Twitter page. Recently, he teased fans about a possible new breed of dinosaurs in the movie. He shared a photo of seven eggs placed inside an incubator. He did not caption the image, but the photo has since intrigued fans about its relevance to the film.

According to Digital Spy, perhaps Trevorrow hinted at the introduction of a new generation of dinosaurs in “Jurassic World 2.” Perhaps the eggs are waiting to hatch. It could also be that these eggs came from Isla Nublar, brought to the city by Dr. Henry Wu.

Viewers may remember that in the first film, Dr. Wu stole the eggs stored in the incubator. He then fled the island during the attack. What he does with these eggs is still unknown. However, with "Jurassic World 2" happening outside of Isla Nublar, it is safe to say these eggs in Trevorrow's photo belong to Dr. Wu.

There have been speculations that Dr. Wu continues with his original plan with Vic Hoskins to weaponize the dinosaurs. He reportedly becomes the main villain in "Jurassic World 2," because he is responsible for the dinosaur attack in the city. According to Movieweb, these eggs in the incubator could be another genetically altered dinosaur like the Indominous Rex.

In related news, Trevorrow confirmed the return of the T-Rex in "Jurassic World 2." He answered a fan's question whether the animal is in the sequel. Trevorrow simply tweeted back, "Confirmed." Aside from the T-Rex, the Dilophosaurus will also make its debut in the sequel.
