‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Season 13 Finale Promo, Spoilers: Meredith, Nathan Split Over Megan

A lot can happen when "Grey's Anatomy" Season 13 Finale airs on May 18, including a possible breakup between Nathan and Meredith. The news that Megan is alive could come in between their relationship.

Meredith and Nathan seem headed to a good start in their relationship, so much so, that one would think nothing could come between them. However, that bombshell in Episode 23 about Megan may just put an end to their relationship in "Grey's Anatomy" Season 13 Finale.

To recap, Episode 23 revealed that Megan is alive after she went missing during a medical mission ten years ago. She was found in the basement of a house in a rebel-led neighborhood and was left there after a raid. Her rescuers brought her to a hospital in Germany and later moved to Seattle.

The news that Megan is alive greatly affected her brother Owen and it is likely going to affect her former lover Nathan when he finds out. According to the synopsis from Spoilers Guide, Nathan likely learns about Megan's rescue from Meredith. The synopsis for "Grey's Anatomy" Season 13 Finale revealed that Meredith has some big news to tell Nathan that brings their relationship to a turning point. Likewise, Episode 23 ended with Meredith on her way home to tell Nathan about Megan.

"Grey's Anatomy" Season 13 Finale may see Nathan and Meredith split after he learns Megan is alive. Perhaps Nathan feels the need to get close to Megan after all these years, to make up for the mistakes he made when they were together. This would certainly make for an interesting twist in his relationship with Meredith, which Season 14 can tackle.

Regardless, whether Meredith and Nathan break up or work on their relationship despite Megan's return is unclear. However, Kevin McKidd (Owen) told TV Line that there is a lot to be excited about when "Grey's Anatomy" Season 13 Finale airs on May 18.

McKidd said "Grey's Anatomy" Season 13 Finale is "pretty dramatic and pretty intense." He called it "dark and very good." Clearly, relationships will be tested in the finale and the cliffhangers will open the storyline for Season 14.
