It looks like Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, will be the first royal mother to have her child's birth announced on the popular social networking website, Twitter. Though this is not exactly traditional in any way, in today's fast-paced news environment posting the announcement on Twitter will be the quickest way to let everyone know of the baby's arrival. It also looks like Kate Middleton has been taking some cooking classes. The pregnant royal is being taught to cook by her newly acquired housekeeper Antonella Fresolone who is known for her incredible, homemade Italian food.

Prince William better get ready to loosen his waist band because his wife has been learning some great cooking recipes from Fresolone now that she is the main housekeeper for the royal couple. According to sources, Fresolone was a renowned cook during her 13-year tenure at Buckingham Palace and is passing along some tricks of the trade to her new employer. Kate Middleton has already learned "a number of small dishes" in preparation for her expanding family.

Reports claim that Prince William and Kate spent a lazy weekend together, with William taking a train up from Anglesey, Wales, to be with his wife before some of his royal engagements taking place this week. Perhaps the prince already tasted some of Kate's cooking? Prince Williams will be seen at a conference on illegal wildlife trade and the XXXVII Ordinary Union of European Football Associations Congress.

Royal birth to be announced on Twitter!

The 31-year-old mum-to-be will be giving birth to the future heir to the thrown in mid-July, and in order to make sure everyone has immediate news concerning the baby, Twitter updates will be provided. Though royal births are usually announced with a statement posted outside of Buckingham Palace, to keep up with the times the royal family has decided to incorporate Twitter into the mix. Just as their royal wedding was the first in history to be announced online, so will Kate and William's first child's birth!
