Fans of Kelly Clarkson will be able to deck their halls while listening to the "American Idol" winner. Today (Aug. 19) on her Twitter, the singer announced that she will be releasing a Christmas album, "Wrapped in Red," this October, her first holiday compilation and apparently a dream fulfilled.
With little to no build up or hints, the "Tie It Up" singer posted the album announcement and cover on her Twitter account this morning.
Check out the cover of my Christmas album! I can't wait for y'all to hear it. #WrappedInRed pic.twitter.com/tIgmd4KtNJ

As seen, the album artwork shows a smooth-faced, red-lipped Clarkson with her hair in a messy, yet highly styled, bun. Fitting for the album title, she's wrapped in a cozy red knit scarf, giving a feeling of holiday warmth.
According to Clarkson, releasing "Wrapped in Red" is a childhood dream come true. Immediately after announcing her new album, she tweeted, "I have been dying to make this album since I was a kid! #WrappedInRed comes out Oct. 29th."
Though "Wrapped in Red" will be Clarkson's first Christmas album, it won't be the first time fans will get to hear the pop star sing holiday tunes. Her 2011 iTunes session included a version of "I'll Be Home For Christmas," which was later included on her "Greatest Hits: Chapter One" album.
It's unknown whether or not "I'll Be Home For Christmas" will be included on "Wrapped in Red" or what exactly the tracklisting will be, but fans can expect news in the upcoming weeks.
"Wrapped in Red" will be released Oct. 29.
Until then, fans can revel in the recently released music video for Clarkson's first country single, the wedding themed "Tie It Up."
