Kanye West takes himself a little too seriously, which sets the rapper up perfectly for parodied videos and viral memes. The most recent offering of West-centric jokes comes from "Saturday Night Live" performer Jay Pharoah, who reworked "Yeezus" track "I Am A God" into a puppy-themed tune called, well, "I Am A Dog."
To perfectly parody West, Pharoah is nothing but serious in this video, except for the giant floppy dog ears and makeup, of course. He stares at the camera with intensity throughout the entire two-minute video, be it while snarling his teeth or scooting across a carpet.
Of course, a proper parody would not be complete without hilarious lyrics, which the "SNL" funnyman supplies in full. "I'm staring at your plate / Beggin' Strips don't taste like steak / You wanna neglect me?" he raps at one point.
Known for his stellar impressions of Eddie Murphy, Jay Z and Denzel Washington, Pharoah also pulls of the West voice quite well. He particularly gets the "heh" down pat.

This isn't the first dog-themed parody of the summer. Way back when Miley Cyrus' "We Can't Stop" music video premiered, a poochy version called "We Can Bark" went viral.
