When Star Wars: Episode VII lost writer Michael Arndt and replaced him with director J.J. Abrams and Lawrence Kasdan, delays were expected. That said, executive producer Kathleen Kennedy tried to push the film back from 2015 to 2016. Unfortunately for her, Disney wants to keep a tight release schedule with this new franchise so it was denied.

This new drama comes from a report from The Hollywood Reporter, one of the more substantial news websites for upcoming projects. Though the article is citing "inside sources" with this news, the odds that this release date drama is going on are high.

Meanwhile, there have been plenty of Twitter reactions to this news already, mainly that there was more to report!

As of now we can only wait and see how this "Drama" plays out, but if this report is true it looks like we're still on track for a 2015 release.
