Kanye West announces release date for his Adidas collection

The countdown can begin at last. Kanye West has finally announced a slated release date for his Adidas collection.

During a radio sit-down with Stylz & Roman in Chicago, Ye confirmed that his Adidas collection will debut in September 2014. The collection will include both men's and women's sportswear.

Just last month Yeezy announced that he would be cutting ties with Nike and signing a deal with Adidas. He claimed that he never received any royalties for his involvement with Nike.

During one of his rants, he had this to say of his departure from Nike:

"Like if it's for myself, I would have been cool just sitting in Nike not getting no royalties. Letting people line up for the Yeezys and not-you know. When I'm having negotiations and then I go and look in my daughter's eyes and when I go and negotiate after that I'm like 'Oh y'all ain't finna talk to me like that. We finna get this money right.'"

Since Yeezy left Nike, it was uncertain when fans should expect the Nike Air Yeezy 2 "Red Octobers" but it looks like Kanye's disappointment with the brand hasn't intervened with the release of the sneaker.

Yesterday (Dec. 20) Footlocker tweeted out this update:

"UPDATE: The Red Nike Air Yeezy 2 will be available ONLINE ONLY on December 27th at 8am EST.- Foot Locker (@footlocker)"
