Last week we found out that filmmaker Quentin Tarantino decided to postpone and possibly cancel his Django Unchained follow-up project, a western movie called The Hateful Eight. The director came to this conclusion after his script for the new project was leaked online. The website responsible for posting the leaked script, Gawker Media, was then issued a lawsuit from Tarantino's lawyers for the offense. But this week the website has responded to the legal allegations, saying it will "fight this one."

Also, here are some details of the possibly canceled new movie from Tarantino!

Tarantino's lawsuit against Gawker stated: "Gawker Media has made a business of predatory journalism, violating people's rights to make a buck."

It continues: "Their headline boasts...'Here,' not someplace else, but 'Here' on the Gawker website. The article then contains multiple direct links for downloading the entire screenplay through a conveniently anonymous URL by simply clicking button links on the Gawker page, and brazenly encourages Gawker visitors to read the screenplay illegally with the invitation to 'Enjoy!' it."

In a response article to the legal action taken against the website, Gawker started with this headline:

"Quentin Tarantino Sues Gawker Over Link to Script He Wants Online."

Clearly this article claims that Tarantino's lawsuit against Gawker isn't what the director is making it out to be.

"It was Tarantino himself who turned his script into a news story, one that garnered him a great deal of attention," the article states.
