With the 2014 World Cup kicking off this week in Brazil, advertisers are desperate to have a standout commercial that will be remembered (and aired) throughout the football tournament, but maybe the best on has come as a precursor to the first kickoff. From Nike, join animated version of today's biggest stars including Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney, Neymar Júnior, Zlatan Ibrahimović, Andrés Iniesta, David Luiz, Franck Ribéry, Tim Howard and Ronaldo Fenomeno in "The Last Game."
Here is a synopsis of this new animated commercial from Nike:
'The Last Game' is a story about risky football versus safe football.
The scientist and the clones want to prove that riskless football is more effective. Ronaldo Fenomeno and the original players disagree, and they are willing to risk everything to prove the scientist wrong.
There is only one way to know who is right: the Last Game.
This new advertisement if definitely a different take than the darker commercial that took over the world last week from Beats By Dre (Click HERE to check that one out). Instead, we see these great athletes in strange animated caricatures of themselves, following a pretty cool story line set up in the synopsis above.
Plus, just like other commercials, we get some great cameos - only this time they too are animated. Though were we really ready for a cartoon LeBron James?
