The Leftovers opened last week with one of the craziest premieres of the year. Audiences were introduced to the small town of Mapleton, which had been dealing with the strange Rapture-like occurrence that happened three years prior. We saw how some people got on with their lives in very drastic ways. Cults, violence, denial, and anger - everyone had a different way of reacting. With episode two, we dove deeper into these emotions and met new characters. (SPOILERS to follow)

Series star Emily Meade recently sat down for an interview with us. Read it here!
Holy Wayne is weirder than we thought. He apparently has a thing for young Asian girls, which has caused him some legal trouble before. A botched SWAT raid reveals that Tom Garvey is definitely willing to do anything for Wayne and his "special" women.
Wayne has a special gift that some believe takes away suffering. This is probably what happened with that Senator in the pilot, but Tom doesn't accept Wayne's offer to perform this charm on him. So Tom wants to suffer? Either way, Wayne needs Tom for some highly secretive something or other. Tom might just be in it for Christine, though.
Is it wrong to expect a lot from Tom, as a viewer? What do you think of him breaking out in this series?
Why did Chief Kevin Garvey have a creepy, sexy dream about Aimee? Also, the gunman that's been killing all of these dogs is on Garvey's mind. His therapist makes us think that this "mystery man" is just part of his imagination.
Things get worse for Garvey when the mysterious man's truck appears in the Chief's driveway with a dead dog in its bed. Later, the man shows up at Garveys door proving that he does, in fact, exist. Aimee and Jill see him, so we have to assume he's real, right?
Last week we heard of Kevin's dad, the former Chief of Police before him, having a nervous breakdown and this week we meet him. He's in some sort of treatment facility, hearing voices, and apparently dating the Mayor, by the looks of it. No wonder things are awkward between her and Kevin, Jr.
Meg Abbott isn't exactly enjoying her time adjusting to life in the "Guilty Remnant" with Laurie not exactly being too helpful. Apparently Laurie is actually being too easy on Meg, according to Patti.
I hope she chops that tree down!
We find out that Nora "The Woman Who Had Lost Everything" Durst acts incredibly weird. Jill and Aimee, with the help of Frost twins, decide to follow her around. This investigation show's Nora is conducting questionnaire surveys with those who have lost people in the incident. Is this her real job or is Nora just doing some weird investigatory reporting for some reason?
The voices that Kevin's dad hears are certainly interesting. "They said they sent or are sending someone to help you," is the most exciting line of the episode. There are way too many questions each and every episode, but it looks like Kevin isn't going crazy (thanks bagel!). Perhaps his dad isn't crazy either. Is anybody really "crazy" in this show?
