After watching United States Soccer hero Tim Howard break the record for amount of goals saved in one game during the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, the goalkeeper has garnered some new-found fame among sports fans. NBC Sports, clearly capitalizing on this fact, has just offered the Everton goalie a multiyear deal to join the network's English Premiere League broadcast team.

"Tim had an impressive debut on our telecasts last season and we are excited to have him join our Premier League team on a more extensive basis," coordinating producer of NBC 's Premier League coverage, Pierre Moossa said this week. "As an active Premier League player, he contributes unique perspective and insight to our broadcasts."

According to a statement released by NBC Sports, the 35-year-old star athlete is set to cover up to 10 Premier League matches this season. He will serve as a game analyst in the booth and/or "in an on-site studio for the pre-game, halftime and post-game shows."

Considering he's an active member of Everton, his NBC broadcast coverage will be scheduled around his matches. We can expect Howard to cover the bigger matches of the Premiere League.

The goalkeeper previously served as an NBCSN analyst on six game telecasts and one on-site studio last season, so this new multiyear deal has a lot to do with this prior work as well as his new-found fame.
