One Tree Hill star Tyler Hilton is saddling up and guest starring in an upcoming episode of ABC's hit show Castle.

Tyler will appear in Episode 7 during the seventh season of Castle in the episode "Once Upon a Time in the West," according to TV Line.

"Castle and Beckett discover that a murder victim may have been poisoned at an Old West-style resort. As such, they must 'saddle up' and visit the resort to find out the truth," the publication reported.

The role of a sheriff, who works at the dude ranch, was announced in September but it wasn't until last week that the actor was officially cast.

"Episode 7 will apparently saddle up Kate [Beckett], Rick et. al. for a trip to the wild, wild west — or at least a modern-day dude ranch facsimile thereof. Thus, guest casting is underway for a sheriff and his wife, a rugged ranch hand, a 'muscular, sexy gay cowboy' and other rootin'-tootin' folk," TV Line initially reported.

The 30-year-old actor's best known for his musical role on One Tree Hill as Chris Keller, the man who tried to steal Haley James Scott (Bethany Joy Lenz) away from her husband Nathan Scott (James Lafferty). Now, he's trading in his instruments for a giant cowboy hat.

"Dear mom and dad, Hollywood is everything I hoped it would be. #Castle" Tyler wrote about his upcoming role.

The Walk the Line actor also posted a photo in his boxers and a large cowboy hat.

TV Line confirmed the casting scoop Monday, Oct. 6. Tyler will "guest-star as Tobias, "a fun-loving resort guest privy to a scandalous secret."

In other Castle news, Kevin Ryan and Javier Esposito arrived at the car crash after Kate in nice suits at the beginning of Season 7, and they wouldn't let Kate go anywhere alone. Now John Huertas, who plays Javier. is giving insight into that scene.

"It's hard to control a person when they're going through that sort of emotive state, so we let Beckett have her time," Jon told TV Line. "First and foremost, though, you want to make sure Castle either is or is not in the car — and we find out pretty quickly, as you can tell in the promo."
