The NBC drama Chicago P.D. continues with "The Weigh Station," which aired Wednesday night (October 8).
A hit man tries to take out Halstead (played by Jesse Lee Soffer), but instead hits a bartender. While the team goes after the alleged hit man, Platt and Nadia finally come to a friendly understanding.
On the last episode, the crew looked into a string of murders where victims all had dollar bills attached to their chest. This is where Voight learned that his friend was involved with some shady deals. Burgess (played by Marina Squerciati) and Roman investigate house break-ins and get some help from her unlikely counterpart Sgt. Platt (Amy Morton)
The stakes are rising, as the bounty on Halsteads head is getting larger, while the bullet that was meant for him hit an innocent civilian. This makes the crew even more furious and is now out for blood.
Though Olinsky tries to call off the hit, this is a no-go for Voight, and they keep their case hush hush until they find this hired assassin.
Jay feels guilty that the bullet hit a victim, and Voight see's this right away, not letting his feelings get in the way he keeps him at his desk watched by Kim and the new officer Sean.
The investigation is not as easy as they think; the entire city knows about the bounty out on Jay. The assassin was actually trying to impress older crooks.
The only way they are going to get a hold of this assassin is holding Jay in front of them as bait. The man charged with hunting Jay finds out about the plot and kidnaps the handler's son.
Olinskly (Elias Koteas) pays a visit to Bembenek in prison and is informed that he will be moved to the general population; therefore his chances of lasting in prison are slim.
Lindsey (Sophia Bush) continues to struggle with her mother's spontaneous wedding. Her mother allowed no room for her new husband to answer questions from Lindsey. This makes Lindsey really value her relationship with Voight.
