Spoilers: 'Chicago PD' Jin's Murder is Solved Within The First Episode

With the season two premiere of Chicago PD returning to NBC tomorrow Sept. 24^th, fans squirm in excitement to divulge in where they left off in season one.  

The Sheldon Jin murder investigation is moving forward, though Jin is gone, he will definitely be remembered in season two.

"It shakes everybody up," writer and producer Matt Olmstead tells TVGuide.com back in June. "Definitely for the next three or four episodes until people can re-galvanize as a family, but people have some hard feelings about how it all goes down."

In the Season one finale, Jin, who was the Intelligent Unit's tech expert was found dead moments after being confronted by Voight for prying into his personal internal affairs, however for a reason. When viewers last saw Jin alive he was running a flash drive to a secretive recipient.

Olmstead disclosed that Jin's murder will be solved within the first episode, so it's one not to miss.

 "His murder hasn't been solved yet so you have the team wanting to know what the hell is going on, in particular Halstead, who has never really carried Voight's water. But then you have Lindsay who's loyal and maybe even an apologist for Voight," Olmstead said. "We play the mystery of who killed Jin, and then certainly the ramifications of, once that mystery is solved, how people feel about who did it and why."

The first episode is mainly based on Jin's murder as well if Voight had a possible connection to it. This will ultimately cause a rift in the unit.

Voight hand-picks Ruzek, to fill in for Jin. Though Ruzek is not thrilled with his new job duties, his personal life makes up for it. After kissing Burgess last season, and Burgess losing her job promotion over it things heat up for Burgess on the job.

Burgess will soon desire her promotion less and less as her new partner; Sean Roman brings another personality and mystery to the cast. This new character will add an important voice to Chicago PD. 

Lindsay will bring the drama back to PD as she visits someone she hasn't seen in a very long time, her mother Bunny.
