Season 2 of the CW hit Reign is underway and there's already a lot of drama. Megan Follows, who plays Queen Catherine, revealed that her character has a lot more up her sleeve this season, even if she's no longer queen of France.

As Mary and Francis are finally crowned the new queen and king of France this week, Catherine won't be quietly standing by, in case you ever thought that would be possible. Megan admits Catherine will continue to play her role as the mother of the king, even if she isn't in charge anymore.

"Catherine wants to exude a lot of stability by indulging in quite a showy coronation, even though we're up against the critical situation with food shortages and political unrest," Megan told TV Line. "Francis and Mary aren't impressed by her impressive display of showmanship; she believes that, even if you're in serious trouble, you don't let anyone know that."

In regards to Mary and Catherine's relationship, there will be ups and downs as usual, but it's mainly because Catherine has to figure out where she fits in now that her role has shifted.

"As soon as Francis becomes king, Mary becomes queen, which means Catherine's suddenly in no-man's land. She's figuring out what her power base is now. In the first episode, we faced something greater than even our political challenges, which was the plague. So we sort of had to come together, even though we have very different ways of solving our problems," the 46-year-old actress told the publication.

Now that her husband's dead, will Catherine ever find love? This is a question we want the answer to, but unfortunately Megan doesn't know if and when she'll have a new love interest.

"I am not sure, and I'm not even being coy. You'll see Narcisse and Catherine have some exchanges, because I think they're far more similar in their character. They're both pretty ruthless. But I'm not sure what's happening there; I guess they're saving her for someone very special," the Anne of Avonlea actress said.

"It can't just be anybody, and we know what happened to the last poor bugger who ended up in my chamber," she said
