Jennifer Aniston, 45, stars in the much-anticipated 2015 film Cake, and the actress stepped into Deadline's "Contenders" panel Saturday, Nov. 1, to chat about the movie and having to ditch all makeup for the indie movie!
"So fabulous — so dreamy and empowering and liberating," the Friends alumna said of wearing no makeup for the role. "The only time I had to sit in the makeup chair was just for the scars."

The dramatic film starring Aniston, Anna Kendrick and Sam Worthington made headlines at this year's Toronto International Film Festival. The Oscar-buzzed film is about Claire Bennett's (Aniston) relationship with a widower while confronting hallucinations of his dead wife.
An actress who makes millions as the face of Aveeno skincare products is far from her real-life roles, as her character in the film suffers from a horrific car crash, which leaves visible scars all over her body.
A source tells Us Weekly that, "[Aniston] really went there, to the point that even her fellow actors were truly impressed with her performance," the source revealed. "She left all the self-consciousness behind her. People were really blown away."
The 2003 film Monster won actress Charlize Theron the Academy Award for Best Actress for her transformation in the film as a serial killer. Theron received such overwhelming critical acclaim, which won her 17 awards.
"As women, we do feel that we have to live up to an expectation whether it is on camera or going to the market or whatever it is," Aniston said. "The truth of the matter is that that is not always the way it is. We don't always have our high heels on."
