It looks like this season of Portlandia will be crammed to it Oregonian gills with loads of guests stars to play the wild and kooky compadres of Carrie Brownstein and Fred Armisen, judging from the show's brand new trailer.

Ahead of the sketch show's fifth season, you can expect more bizarre shenanigans from the epic, Interstellar-aping season teaser.

And while last season boasted guest names like Kirsten Dunst, Olivia Wilde, St Vincent, Vanessa Bayer and Jeff Goldblum, as well as usual suspects like Kyle McLaughlin and Ed Begley Jr, judging from the trailer we're going to see an even bigger lineup of famous names moving in.

According to IFC season five will boast Bayer, Steve Buscemi, Shepard Fairey, Greta Gerwig, Peter Giles, Simpsons creator Matt Groening, Breaking Bad's Anna Gunn, Justin Long, Jane Lynch, Natasha Lyonne, Seth Meyers, Brigitte Nielsen, Parker Posey, Paul Reubens, Paul Simon, Olivia Wilde and Oscar the Grouch. That's ridiculous.

In the trailer, you'll spot a creepy-looking Long proposing marriage (complete with a Go-Pro wrapped around his head), Goldblum looking suave as hell, Wilde wanting to saving whales from Sea World, and Reubens (Pee-Wee Herman himself!) doing, er, Reubens things.

And if you follow Carrie on Instagram you will have spotted a bunch of those guests already, as she's more than happy to post snaps with Portlandia's new and returning characters.
