If there’s any solidification that Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein’s Portlandia is churning out it’s A-game, it’s the fact that Paul Simon has officially appeared. The singer-songwriter is guesting on the next episode, which airs this coming March 5 at 10 p.m. on IFC. If you tuned into last night’s episode of CONAN then you undoubtedly saw Portlandia’s own Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein take to host Conan O’Brien’s couch. During the duo’s interview, O’Brien brought up a little beef Armisen has with his former Saturday Night Live co-star, who recently lit up the screen in The Skeleton Twins, Bill Hader. Keeping true to his schedule, comedian Jerry Seinfeld just dropped a new episode of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee earlier today with guest Fred Armisen. The Portlandia star showed the vet Seinfeld lead around the city he loves so dearly (so much so that he created a series about it with Sleater-Kinney lead Carrie Brownstein), Portland. And as usual, it certainly didn’t disappoint – especially because of that surprise bonus piece which included Michael Richards reprising his role as Crackle president Dick Corcoran. Read More »
