Did you ever want to meet Prince William and Kate Middleton? Well, now might be the perfect opportunity. The British royals are making their way to the United States and are hosting a gala fundraiser at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, but should you want to attend the festivities you are going to have to pay a pretty penny. The museum is holding the fundraiser to benefit the couple's famous college, St. Andrews University, but it will cost you $100,000 to get in.
According to The Daily Mail, guests are expected to shell out the high price tag in order to get an invite to the soirée.
So what comes with the steep asking price? Well, for one, you'll get two VIP tickets into the event and an opportunity to possibly shake hands with Prince William and Princess Kate. But should you miss out on talking to them, you'll also get to mingle among some celebrities, which could include Olivier Sarkozy and Mary-Kate Olsen.
Next, attendees will have the chance to bid on different items that are up for auction, including a stay at the Downton Abbey, aka Highclere Castle, as well as a literary tour of Edinburgh with Ian Rankin.
According to E! News, there'll likely be 450 people in attendance for the event, which will benefit the Scottish university where Kate and William first met back in 2002.
This won't be the only stop on the Duke and Duchess's U.S. tour, as they also plan to visit the Sept. 11 memorial as well as a basketball game at the Barclays Center.
