MTV Diem Brown, Chris 'CT' Tamburello Relationship: CT Proposed Before Diem's Death! Did She Say Yes?

MTV fans are still mourning the death of Real World/Road Rules Challenge star Diem Brown, who sadly lost her longtime battle with cancer. Viewers saw the ups and downs of her relationship with co-star Chris "CT" Tamburello, but CT himself was hoping for a happy ending with Diem before she passed.

According to Us Weekly, while the MTV star was in her hospital bed, CT came in to ask her to marry him with a ruby ring.

"He proposed and filmed the entire thing," a source said. "Diem joked that she hated rubies and said no."

CT even came back again the next day to ask her again, except this time with a different ring.

"Diem knew she didn't have much longer to live," the source told the mag. "She didn't want to be engaged under those circumstances."

As MStars News reported, the two were not together before Diem passed. However, friends of the reality star say they could've gotten back together if Diem hadn't become sick again.

"Diem and CT had a complicated relationship," E! correspondent and Diem's friend Alicia Quarles told Us. "Maybe all of her friends didn't understand it. I know they had a lot of love for each other...They were on and off for so many years. If she had more time on this earth, who knows what would have happened between them?"

After Diem's death, CT posted a photo on Instagram of her pricture next to a rosary and a ring with the caption, "You have always been My Angel. And now you have your wings. We've been thru so much over the years. Thru the ups and downs we somehow managed to keep our promise. We never gave up on each other. Our plan to be together forever hasn't changed...it's just going to take a little longer now." He added of Brown: "You are The Love of My Life. My reason to be a better man. I Love You Always and Forever."
