Bobby Shmurda, 20 Arrested In NYC Following Police Sting In Drugs And Shootings Case — Press Conference Discussing The Case Scheduled For Thursday [DETAILS]

MStars News has learned that rapper Bobby Shmurda was arrested in NYC hours before his special performance that was supposed to be in a secret location.

According to Billboard, Bobby's arrest follows a long-term investigation that was given by the NYPD after the felt the rapper was involved in shootings and drug trafficking. This isn't the first time that Shmurda has faced the law. This is the Hot Boy's third time being involved in drama with cops within this year. Shmurda's other troubles includes charges for possessing a gun and marijuana.

Billboard reports that Kati Cornell, the director of public information for New York City's special narcotics prosecutor, confirmed the arrest. Cornell said Shmurda was "arrested in his car in the early hours of morning. According to official sources, he was arrested along with several members of GS9, the Brooklyn gang that also lends its name to Shmurda's rap crew."

Shmurda's charges have not been revealed, that information will be made public Thursday. The reason for the delay is that is when the sealed indictment will be opened in Manhattan Supreme Court.

According to Cornell, a press conference is being scheduled by the NYPD sometime Thursday afternoon to discuss the case.

Hip Hollywood reports that a rep from Quad Studios revealed that they had "no comment" at the moment, and that they are "waiting for the investigation to unfold."
