After Saturday night, Jan. 17's premiere of Whitney on Lifetime, the late singer's ex-husband Bobby Brown decided to open up one on one with Access Hollywood's reporter Shaun Robinson. In his hour-long interview, the New Edition singer and solo artist talked about the couple's marriage and drugs and life after Whitney.
We all learned a lot from Saturday night's movie premiere and special from Brown, like the couple's first date, which was a trip to the movies to see Uncle Buck.
Brown said he knew Whitney was the one by "the way we talked on the phone, the things we had in common, we smoked the same cigarettes."
Bobby says he was surprised he and Whitney both smoked the same cigarettes.
Brown revealed that he proposed after Whitney came to pick him up from the airport.
"She came to pick me up from the airport. I said, 'Do you want to marry me?'" He added that "she was a bridezilla ... she wanted everything to be perfect."

"Everybody was there, it was a beautiful day," Bobby says of his wedding.
Bobby revealed that he hasn't spoken to Whitney's mother Cissy Houston.
Some suggested that the Houston family blamed Bobby for Whitney's drug use. Bobby revealed that the couple's honeymoon was the first time he saw his wife using cocaine.
"She didn't use like people think she used, that didn't come until later on in our marriage." He adds, "It wasn't about being surprised, it was about not abusing it, you know."
Bobby "never" felt like "Mr. Houston" or that he was in his wife's shadow. The best time with Whitney was when their daughter was born, the singer remembers.
When it comes to the drugs, Bobby said it destroyed their "passion for life," and when it comes to their daughter, Brown says "we didn't neglect our child, we made sure our child were [sic] in good hands when we were out doing our things, cocaine, alcohol, weed."
Brown claims that the things got bad after Houston filmed A Preacher's Wife: "I started smoking marijuana and base, drinking hard liquor ... it just started getting really terrible for me, I started using heroine."

Bobby says he doesn't know why his ex-wife decided to an interview with Diane Sawyer.
"That is the million-dollar question, I do not know this," he said as Robinson asked him why she opened up to Sawyer in the interview that would make history.
Bobby became clean during his jail sentence in 2000. "I was able to get myself off of drugs, I was able to find myself again. It really put a strain on us, because I was trying to stay clean and she was still using."
MStars News previously reported that Bobby revealed that the couple cheated on each other, causing some problems within their marriage.
