When it comes to mixing monsters and romance, movies usually fail miserably, but with the upcoming film Spring, writer/directors Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead have apparently hit the nail on the head. With critical acclaim and positive reviews spreading around the film festival circuits, this new movie is sure to be an epitome of the romance-horror hybrid when it hits theaters on March 20, 2015. This week, we were treated to the movie's first trailer, showing us just what happens when a young man falls in love with a mysterious woman with a monstrous secret! Watch the trailer below!

Starring Lou Taylor Pucci as an American visiting Italy who meets and falls for the young beauty portrayed by Nadia Hilker, this first movie preview seems like a pretty fun romance flick at first. As the trailer progresses we learn that Pucci's character starts to learn a bit too much about his new lover, though she isn't trying to hurt him. We find out in a series of quick shots and horrifying images that he's in for a world of heartbreak and pain when his girlfriend's true form emerges - literally.

Not much is shown, which is pretty great for a trailer, so the intrigue of this film is growing, wouldn't you say? Check out this trailer for Spring right here:

Evan (Lou Taylor Pucci, Evil Dead, Thumbsucker) is a young American fleeing to Europe to escape his past. While backpacking along the Italian coast, everything changes during a stop at an idyllic Italian village, where he meets and instantly connects with the enchanting and mysterious Louise. A flirtatious romance begins to bloom between the two - however, Evan soon realizes that Louise has been harboring a monstrous, primordial secret that puts both their relationship and their lives in jeopardy.
