If you thought last week's episode would be the only one with flashbacks and dreamlike fantasies, you were definitely mistaken. Adding to that motif, we see direct parallels between Lucas and Chayton, both of whom are dealing with the death of Siobhan in similar ways. Though Lucas is obviously still mourning his dead ex-girlfriend, we see some kind of remorse in the gunshot-wounded Red Bones leader as he awakes from a fever dream in a barn to an image of the deceased deputy standing over him.
Have you ever wondered what Fight Club would be like with teenagers? Well, you kind of find out with Deva's new boyfriend and his weird group of friends. Deva totally digs how much Charlie gets beat up by his friend, though he eventually gets the upper hand when cattle prods (!?) are brought in.
Hood, while in a training segment punching and stabbing a tree, runs into Aimee who informs him that one of her CIs can track down Chayton. She apologizes for not shooting Chayton last week (remember; right before he tried to choke her out?), and Hood surprisingly forgives her. He tells her that he'll pay the CI anything for the information, which leads us to Job and Sugar working on the heist that's been developing all season.
We meet a new character in the stables when Chayton tries to take a woman named Emily hostage. Emily tends to Chayton's gunshot wound:
Proctor has a big moment when he seeks out an Amish service and is welcomed by his father. You can check out this moving scene right here:
Rebecca starts dealing with the Salvadorians, which is obviously going behind Kai's back. We see that she's pretty nervous, but puts on a strong front when needed.
Job tries to delay the heist, but Hood insists that they go forward with it.
Gordon and Carrie track down Deva and embarrass her in front of Charlie and his weird group of friends that somehow have nothing else better to do than hang out near and in an empty pool. Also, these kids pick a fight with Carrie? Sure it's weird, but it leads to Gordon's coolest line of the series:
"You shouldn't have done that," he states, knowingly.
Carrie beats up the rough group while Gordon handles Charlie quite easily. After pulling a gun on him, Gordon disarms Charlie as Carrie takes Deva away. After getting back to their house, it would've been cool if the Hopewell's just high-fived, but instead they just kind of talked it out and ended up having sex on the kitchen counter. That's kind of like a high-five, right?
Chayton ends up killing Lisa's neighbor after she does a terrible job of getting rid of him.
The heist goes down in some cool point-of-view shots, eventually leading to some visions of Siobhan and Job fitting Stowe's muscle. Lucas snaps out of it in time to help Job and they get the cash! Unfortunately, Stowe catches on and an intense shootout takes place, also in point-of-view shots, but this time with night-vision, too!
Stowe tracks them down to their getaway truck and almost takes them all out. He's kicked out of the truck and the gang drives away.
As the episode ends, Hood learns Chayton is headed to Louisiana and sets out on a road trip with Brock!
