The View’s Whoopi Goldberg made it clear on Wednesday's show that Giuliana Rancic needs to be careful after the dreadlocks comment she made about actress Zendaya during the Oscars.
Rancic has made headlines all over after she stated on E! Fashion Police show earlier this week that Zendaya's dreads probably "smelled like patchouli oil” or “weed."
Goldberg demanded that Rancic apologize to Zendaya, and warned the TV personality, who is also a host on the E! Network:
"Giuliana, you know what I'm thinking right now, right? And be careful, because you know a lot of people with dreads," Goldberg added, as she started to flip her dreads over her shoulder.
Whoopi also said, "Maybe it's time for that show to turn into something else, because Joan was one-of-a-kind. There's nobody like her, there's nobody that is as funny, there's nobody that can do what she did."
Stacy London, the former co-host of What Not to Wear and this week's guest host on The View chimed in.
"Only Joan Rivers can be Joan Rivers," the host of TLC's Love, Lust or Run said about the legendary comedian, who used to be part of the Fashion Police team. "Giuliana is not Joan, sorry."
"Here's what's offensive to me," Whoopi said, "I've had dreads for 40 years and never have I smelled like patchouli. It's a stereotype that she put on."
She went on to say, "She's not Joan Rivers, and unless you know how to make jokes, don't do it, because this is what happens."
Another person who this ugly situation vexed, was Kelly Osbourne, Rancic's co-host. MStars News previously reported that Osbourne was fired up about the Zendaya comments and went on a Twitter rampage, threatening to quit the show.
I DID NOT MAKE THE WEED COMENT. I DO NOT CONDONE RACISM SO AS A RSULT OF THIS IM SEREIOULSY QUESTIONONIG STAYING ON THE SHOW!

On The Talk Wednesday, Sharon Osbourne, Kelly's mother decided to talk about the dispute.
"I think her apology was very sincere, and as she said, she's learned a lot about what she said," Osbourne said on The Talk. "I think we all make mistakes on TV. I put my foot in my mouth so many times. She fessed up, and at the end of the day, she owned it."
