MStars News has learned that a North Carolina man was arrested and charged in connection with the murders of Food Network Star contestant Cristie Schoen Codd, 38, who was pregnant, and her husband Joseph Codd. According to Entertainment Tonight, the man who has been arrested and charged is Robert Jason Owens. Owens was taken into custody at the Buncombe County Detention Facility, where he was charged with two counts of felony first-degree murder.
ABC 11 reported that Owens was also charged with breaking and entering as well as larceny. He will also be charged with killing the couple's unborn baby.

Owens has also been linked to the 2000 disappearance of Zebb Quinn. Quinn went missing in Asheville, North Carolina, in a Walmart parking lot where he worked, where met up with his friend, Owens.
Family members reported Cristie and Joesph missing over the weekend, but it seems the couple may have been dead since last Thursday, March 12.
When police arrived at their home, they found the newlyweds's cars and pets still at their home in Leicester, North Carolina, but there was no sign of the couple.
The Season 8 contestant was reportedly five months pregnant when she was killed.
"Our thoughts go out to Cristie's family and friends during this difficult time," a Food Network representative said.
Friends remembered Cristie as a loving woman.
"She was an amazing, amazing, lovely woman," Julie Helton, a television producer, said. "She was a phenomenal cook, and she always invited people over to have dinner and taste some good Southern food. She made some of the most amazing birthday cakes, and her laugh was contagious. Just the two of them together were just so happy and loving. They were just amazing friends."
