After becoming a big hit on HBO, George R.R. Martin's popular fantasy/medieval novels continues to be released in TellTale Games' Game of Thrones. In Episode 3, The Sword in the Darkness, gamers should spot Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey), Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage), and wait a sec...Is that a dragon in the videogame?
As we previously mentioned, Telltale announced they were working on the Game of Thrones videogame at the VGX awards last year. There hadn't been much news about the game until the developers spoke up through their social media site. The game developers used a quote from Martin's A Dance With Dragons and came up with the hashtag.
We also mentioned, Episode 1 featured appearances by Margaery Tyrell (Natalie Dormer) and Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey). The events in the game takes place towards the end of Season Three of the show, and ends right before the beginning of Season Five. Players will visit familiar locations such as King's Landing and The Wall, as well as unfamiliar locations such as Ironrath, the home of House Forrester.
Episode 3 continues with the exiled Asher Forrester heads to Mereen in search of an army to take on the Whitehills. Meanwhile, Mira Forrester must deal with the lethal politics of King's Landing to ensure her family's safety. To the north, in Ironrath, Gryff Whitehill sets out to prove himself by pushing the Forresters to make far-reaching decisions. At the Wall, Gared Forrester learns that he must head north if he is to help his house survive.
According to the official TellTale blog, screenshots have been released, with an appearance by Jon Snow (Kit Harington). With this being episode 3 out of 6 out, gamers are already officially at the halfway mark of the season.
