Adam Sandler is setting new records for people walking out of his movies. Now, they're just doing it before the filming is done -- which is an incredible feat. TMZ reports a group of Native Americans walked off the set of Sandler's new movie because they felt it was racially insulting. The movie they walked out on, The Ridiculous Six, stars Nick Nolta, Steve Buscemi, Dan Aykroyd, Jon Lovitz and Vanilla Ice.
According to some of the Native American actors and actresses, character names such as Beaver's Breath and No Bra, as well as a scene where an Apache woman pees outdoors, were too much for them.
Netflix is defending the Sandler film saying it's all a joke. They pointed out their claim by laying out the name of the movie.
"The movie has ridiculous in the title for a reason: because it is ridiculous," a Netflix rep told TMZ.
Netflix's representative also mentions that the movie's diverse cast is not only "part of" but "in on the joke." Actress Loren Anthony, who initially said she was having fun with the project on Twitter, spoke a different tune after the walk out.
"Today work was no bueno, my native women were disrespected and I walked off set," she said. "They just treated us as if we should just be on the side. When we did speak with the main director, he was trying to say the disrespect was not intentional and this was a comedy."

One actress, Allison Young, said she was almost brought to tears by the movie. "I didn't want to cry, but the feeling just came over me. This is supposed to be a comedy that makes you laugh. A film like this should not make someone feel this way," she said.
The Ridiculous Six is a spoof of the Western The Magnificent Seven and is the first in a four-movie deal between Sandler and Netflix.
