We aren't the only ones that are feeling the loss of Patrick Dempsey from Grey's Anatomy. Nope, while the world lost one of the best fictitious medical surgeons during last month's episode, it seems that it was a death that was felt throughout the whole TV world. Star of Grey's TGIT partner and fellow Shonda Rhimes' show, Scandal, Scott Foley spoke out about Derek Shepherd's death earlier today, and he was just as torn apart about it as we were.
According to Hollywood Life, the star, who actually appeared on Grey's as a guest star (one of favorite characters ever, BTW) was just as broken up inside as we are over the shocking death.
You'll remember Foley as Dr. Teddy Altman's love interest Henry Burton, who was sadly killed off during a surgery to remove a tumor from his heart, so we think that Foley more than anyone knows the pain that Dempsey is going through.
"I watched it happen. I watched it live. It was crazy. I was on Grey's Anatomy and I couldn't believe it," the star explained to E! News. "Let's talk about that for a minute because I was blown away! Blown away.
While the fellow actor was saddened that Dempsey would no longer be apart of the ABC medical drama, he explained that the way that Shonda and the creators killed him off was the perfect send off.
"I thought they did it so well. Like all the voice-over stuff. I was crazy for it. I thought it was great!" Foley told the news site.
