According to some speculation, newcomer Martin Paterson could play in this match. Coach Adrien Heath addresses this news during a press conference.

"I think he will be involved in some shape or form," the manager said, according to the Orlando Sentinel. "Obviously it'll be too early for him to start a game, but maybe coming off the bench. ... [He brings] experience, pace, desire. He's been so frustrated with what's gone on since he's been here, and the problem that we're having at this moment in time is calming him down a little bit because he wants to get started so badly."

Meanwhile, injured Galaxy captain Robbie Keane is likely to miss this important match.

"I love playing. It's been frustrating, but it's the way it is. If it had been a good few years ago I probably would have been an absolute disaster in the locker room. I'm the worst person in the world to be injured," the player told the press, according to the team's blog. "You have to make sure you look after yourself well and want to get back as quick as I can. I'm certainly on the mend; I just have to be very, very careful."
