'Ghost Racers #1' Preview: Ghost Rider's Robbie Reyes Races To Marvel Comics' Secret Wars!

Racing to the finish line, Ghost Rider returns in a major role in the biggest Marvel Comics event, Secret Wars. Robbie Reyes, Johnny Blaze, Danny Ketch, and Alejandra Blaze reunite in this sneak preview of writer Felipe Smith and artist Juan Gedeon's Ghost Racers #1. 

As we previously mentioned, Secret Wars features the Marvel superheroes from alternate realities coming together to meet in an epic standoff. The Marvel's superheroes and super-villains will be forced to defend themselves for the survival of their universe. There will be no Marvel Universe, no Ultimate Universe, or any other, just Battleworld.

In the plot synopsis, the Spirits of Vengeance race against each other in lethal, cutthroat races. In Battleworld's arena, the Ghost Races promise the enslaved and cursed souls a must-see race  where anything and everything goes, Friendship, loyalties and family bonds will be tested for temporary freedom from the arena, Robbie Reyes, Johnny Blaze, Danny Ketch, and Alejandra Blaze step onto the track for all-out, high-speed warfare as they battle for their very souls.

In an interview with Marvel, Smith reveals, "I'm definitely looking forward to exploring more than one Ghost Rider. I get to explore maybe sides of these characters that maybe haven't been explored before. We'll see some new designs and we'll see some new takes on some of these characters."

Smith adds that Reyes, the new Ghost Rider in recent issues, is "still the same character and he still has the same traits that make him a character easy to identify with and an easy character to root for!"

As we previously mentioned, Miles Morales might lose his home world in Ultimate End #1, Peter Parker is living the family life with his wife and kids in Amazing Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows #1, and Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver clash over their father's throne in House of M #1.

Ghost Racers #1 will hit stores June 10, 2015.
