Yoga: it's good for the mind, spirit... and butt? Yes, it's true. Not only can the peaceful (yet still difficult) exercise help you mentally but a new report states that it can also aid in toning your butt and help you to build stronger balance by doing a high and low lunge sequence. At least, that's what Udaya Yoga's Rudy Mettia is telling us.
Per a video from The Huffington Post, it looks like the yoga instructor is kindly looking out for our bums. Okay, he didn't actually say that – we're saying that. Though if you think about it, he kind of is.
The below video shows Mettia alongside a student showing viewers how to build strength and balance with a number of lunge poses.
So, are you dying to build up that core? Lunge! Want to tone that booty? Lunge! Want to improve your balance and stop falling all over everything? Well, lunge!
Okay, enough talk. Let's lunge...
