'Everybody's Gone to the Rapture' PS4 Release Date Gameplay Trailer [WATCH VIDEO] Mysterious 2015 Title

Everybody's Gone to the Rapture, the mysterious new PlayStaion 4 exclusive video game from The Chinese Room has officially received a release date, which was announced this week. We can expect to experience this gameplay on August 11, 2015 according to a new blog post from the Sony console. In fact, the game's official website also launched this week, with some great updates and an announcement trailer for our viewing pleasure. Watch this video footage below!

Chinese Room's creative director Dan Pinchbeck this week took to the PlayStation blog to announce the release date, and talk about the new website for the game, which features exclusive content like screenshots, behind-the-scenes images and videos.

"We want to set the scene for this game, introduce you to characters and themes of the story," he said, according to GameSpot. "There's going to be a lot more news about Everybody's Gone to the Rapture coming out between now and launch, including a development diary which lifts the hood on how we got from the first ideas to this game we've poured heart and soul into over the last three years; another mini-documentary and lots more."

Though the release date news is pretty amazing in itself, PlayStation also premiered a revealing trailer to accompany this update.
