NYC's coach Jason Kreis opened up to the media about the recent end to his squad's losing streak.
"We've been training and working feeling like we're carrying a big, giant ape on our shoulders," the manager said, according to FC's official website. "I think a result like that could mean that ape now leaves and we can work the right way. I'm hopeful being able to work the right way this week in training means we can have confidence and positivity going into Saturday, but it's not going to be easy because this is a really good team coming to town with some good players."

Meanwhile, Marco Donadel spoke about his yellow card against Columbus Crew and his mentality going into games.
"I approached this game with the attitude that I wasn't going to commit any fouls that would result in yellow cards," the midfielder said. "And yet, the referee showed me one anyway. The [circumstances] behind it were crazy."
