Following the horrific shooting in Lafayette, Louisiana, during a showing of comedian Amy Schumer's newest film Trainwreck, the Comedy Central star may be taking a firm stance on stronger gun control laws. The comic assured fans all over the globe via social media that they'll soon see that she's doing something. Which leads us to wonder: Is Amy Schumer making a push for more effective laws against guns in the United States.
It's being reported that Schumer is going to be possibly pushing against gun violence after she was called out in a post on Medium by Sarah Clements, whose mother survived the attack at a Sandy Hook elementary school back in 2012, according to The Huffington Post. Schumer reportedly responded via Twitter, correcting the poster's use of one of the victim's names and assured everyone that she's "on it."
@cdickason11 @sfclem Her name was Mayci, not Marci and I think about her and Jillian everyday. Don't worry I'm on it. You'll see.

Clements believes that Schumer is this generation's "epitome of what it means to be a strong, powerful, self-aware champion for the experiences and truths of being a woman."
With this in mind, she claims Schumer can do more than she is doing, asking her to "be a voice for our generation and for women."
After the shooting in Lafayette, Schumer posted her condolences on Twitter, noting that she was heartbroken over the attack, and that her thoughts were with all of the victims.
My heart is broken and all my thoughts and prayers are with everyone in Louisiana. — Amy Schumer (@amyschumer) July 24, 2015
Trainwreck was released back on July 17. The film is the Inside Amy Schumer star's first feature film, which was directed by famed comedian-director Judd Apatow.
Folks, what are your thoughts on Schumer's possible push on stronger gun control laws in the United States?
