This past Sept. 11 marked the 14th anniversary of 9/11. While much of the world was grieving, comedian Pete Davidson, who currently stars as a player on Saturday Night Live, took to Twitter to honor his father – a NYC firefighter who died during the attack.
Sending out several tweets about his father, Davidson kicked it off with a joke, tweeting, "Can't believe it's been 14 years. I remember seeing ur gigantic d*ck like it was yesterday. RIP dad #NeverForget."
The tweet also held a photograph of Davidson with his late father, in which the younger version of himself wore his father's FDNY hat.
He then followed up with a heartwarming tweet about his dad, and thanked his fans and followers for their support throughout the day.
Take a look at the tweets below:

Thank you so much for all the support today you guys. I really appreciate it. I'm a very lucky guy — Pete Davidson (@petedavidson) September 11, 2015
Davidson has been very open about his father's death in the past, having joked around about it during the Comedy Central Roast of Justin Bieber. While stabbing the young singer, Davidson noted that he always regretted growing up without a father until he met Bieber's father. "Now I'm glad mine's dead," he said.
He further joked that Soul Plane was the worst thing to have happened to him that involved an airplane.
