5 Reasons Grant Gustin, Danielle Panabaker, Candice Patton 'The Flash' Season 2 On CW Rules!

The CW Network is just weeks away from airing the Season 2 of The Flash. In the highly anticipated premiere, Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) is back as the scarlet speedster, along with Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker), Iris West (Candice Patton), and Joe West (Jesse L. Martin).

As we previously mentioned, Barry Allen (Gustin) awoke from his coma, after being struck by lightning. Given super-speed powers, Barry belonged to small group of friends, Caitlin Snow (Panabaker), and Cisco Ramon (Carlos Valdes), who know his secret identity. They worked together against super villains, including Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller), and teamed up with the Arrow (Stephen Amell). But they never realized their true enemy was lurking within their midst, the Reverse-Flash (Tom Cavanagh).

Here are 5 reasons why we have to watch the Season 2 premiere of The Flash:

5) Jay Garrick!

As we previously mentioned, Teddy Sears (Masters of Sex) actor will play the recurring role of Jay Garrick, the Silver Age Flash. Viewers caught a glimpse of Jay's iconic winged helmet in the first season finale. In his arrival, Jay warns Barry and his team at S.T.A.R. Labs about an impending danger that he alone cannot stop. Is his warning though about Zoom (voiced by Tony Todd)? In the DC Universe, Jay becomes the mentor to Barry Allen, Wally West, and bart Allen as he teaches them all how to control the speed force.

4) Wally West!

We also mentioned, Keiynan Lonsdale will play Wally West, the nephew of Iris West, just like in the DC Comics mythology. Will Wally West end up in a relationship with Linda Park (Malese Jow), who becomes his future wife? In the New 52 comics, Wally is a punk who gets in trouble in the law; a far different interpretation from the other clean cut iterations. It will be interesting to see if Lonsdale will become Kid Flash in the upcoming episodes!

3) Killer Frost!

During the first season finale, when the Flash slipped into the time-stream, he witnessed events from the past, present, and future. He may have also witnessed a possible enemy in costume. As we mentioned before, Panabaker is interested in playing a character with "so many different emotions." With the Killer Frost costume already made, Panabaker adds, "Yes - from the beginning I knew that Caitlin Snow becomes Killer Frost. And I can't wait to suit up and duke it out with the boys!"

2) Captain Cold and Heat Wave!

Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) and Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell) escaped from prison to become super villains! Not only is the chemistry between Miller and Purcell was still there, the two are just worthy adversaries against Barry. Seeing them together makes us more so excited for the revival of Prison Break.

1) More Crossovers!

We crossing our fingers to see more crossovers between The Flash and Arrow. We have Firestorm (Robbie Amell) and Hawkgirl (Ciara Renee) added to the superhero lineup. Then everything will come together as the CW Network forms its own Justice League on television as the good guys and bad guys form the Legends of Tomorrow.

The Flash returns for Season 2 on Tuesday, October. 6, at 8/7c.
