Fashion Police might have moved on since Kathy Griffin took over the reigns from the late Joan Rivers, but while the series has a new host, it doesn't seem like a producer behind the comedy series can get past the red-headed star that tried to fill the shoes of the previous host. Melissa Rivers may be the rightful heir to the Fashion Police throne, but after the failed attempt at getting Griffin to sit in the seat, one producer is not holding back at bashing the My Life on the D-List star, even calling her a "Disgusting, horrible human."
According to new reports from Radar Online, Griffin didn't seem to be playing nice from the first moment that she stepped on set, at least according to her former bestie and pal Tony Tripoli, who served as a senior producer and writer for the E! series. While the two were great friends (he even appeared in a slew of episodes of the stars reality series on Bravo), according to Tripoli, Griffin's first order of business was to get him fired.
"When they brought Kathy on for Fashion Police, obviously Kathy didn't want me to work there anymore. So as the new star of the show, she was like, 'he's fired,'" Tripoli explained. "Everyone at Fashion Police was very sad to see me go."
However, the bashing didn't just stop there. According to the Chicago Tribune, on the One On One With Jasper Cole podcast, Tripoli threw out an expletive to describe Griffin, and also stated, "There's a lot of really famous people that are despicable, disgusting, horrible human beings- she just is one of them."
Melissa Rivers, who took over from Griffin, also poked fun at the former star of the show.
In the first episode following the hiatus, she jokingly stated that she had to clean up a few messes on the FP stage.
