'Empire' Season 2 Episode 4 Recap:"Poor Yorick": Jussie Smollett/Jamal, Bryshere Gray/Hakeem!

Fox continues with the musical Season 2 soap opera of Empire. In Episode 4, the music industry will never be the same as Jamal Lyon (Jussie Smollett) and Hakeem Lyon (Bryshere Y. Gray) suddenly learn what it means to be Poor Yorick?

The FBI raids Empire Records as Jamal Lyon (Jussie Smollett) is recording his new track.  As the feds confiscate everything, Jamal is giving an in-depth interview. Cookie is watching on the news as the feds ransack his offices. Thirsty Rawlins wakes up Luscious just as the prosecutor arrives with the agents.

Luscious stands buck naked as the feds storm his bedroom. Hakeem Lyon (Bryshere Y. Gray) flat out asks his father about Vernon's murder. Andre Lyon (Trai Byers) is unable to control himself as he remains stone-cold in front of his family. Coolie then calls for a truce between her and Luscious. 

The two end up making fun of each other for being grandparents. Cookie warns Luscious he won't see his grandson if he doesn't make peace with Andre. In front of a painter, Jamal performs a song and inspires his art. Luscious reveals a childhood memory to Andre about his mother. 

Andre reveals to his wife, Rhonda (Kaitlin Doubleday) that God has been talking to him. While Hakeem and Jamal are working together on a post-apocalyptic music video, the police arrest Cookie and place her inside the car. As she sits behind bars, Cookie is having flashbacks during her previous time in prison. 

While Andre and Rhonda are working together, Cookie accepts to speak with the prosecutor. The painter then shows up with the finished piece on set. Consumed with jealousy, Hakeem makes fun of the portrait. After being called a momma's boy, Hakeem then stabs the painting with a knife. 

As the making of the music video continues, Hakeem and Jamal starts fighting for real. Hakeem is able to stop himself before swinging the baseball bat. Cookie gives up a lie to the prosecutor to ruin Luscious' radio deal. 

After digging up the wrong spot, Rhonda and Andre realize Vernon's dead body could be anywhere. Jamal attempts to apologize but the painter loves that the throat is slit. After digging up so many spots, Rhonda reminds Andre that there is more to life than Empire. 

Luscious suddenly shows up at the burial site and discovers what really happened to Vernon. With Rawlins discovering where the dead body is buried, Luscious is thrilled that Andre and Rhonda saved his life.  

At the bar, Hakeem ends up hearing a young starlet singing in Spanish.  As Vernon's dead body is dug up, Jamal's boyfriend isn't too happy with the painting. Andre then says a prayer to Vernon and thanks his uncle for everything he did. Luscious though tells Vernon he will rot in hell for being a snitch.

Luscious then hugs Andre, apologizes, and welcomes him back. Cookie is too late at the music video set. As Luscious burns an old photo, the prosecutor screams as she finds Vernon's dead body is the passenger seat.
