From the sci-fi author of Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?, Amazon Studios is bringing the online live stream event of the pilot to The Man in the High Castle. Then during Amazon's Free Preview Weekend, watch episode 2 of the groundbreaking adaptation.
As we previously mentioned, the sci-fi drama is based on Philip K. Dick's award-winning novel. Executive produced by renowned filmmaker Ridley Scott (Blade Runner), the alternate timeline explores what it would be like if the Allied Powers had lost WWII. In this parallel universe, Japan and Germany rule over the United States.
The cast includes Rufus Sewell (Dark City), Luke Kleintank (Pretty Little Liars) and Alexa Davalos (Mob City). If you need a reason why he hasn't returned to The X-Files Revival, Frank Spotnitz serves as executive producer and wrote the pilot. David Semel (Heroes) directed the pilot episode.
IGN will be hosting the live stream event of the pilot. As the official site reports, IGN will also bring together the cast and executive producer for a discussion about the new show. After that pilot airs, executive producer Frank Spotnitz (Kolchak: The Night Stalker remake) joins stars Davalos (Angel), Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa (Mortal Kombat), DJ Qualls (Supernatural) and Joel de la Fuente (Julia) with IGN's very own critic, Chris Carle.
The IGN live stream will be held on Thursday, October 22 at at 10am PT/1am EST.
