Former America's Next Top Model Cycle 22 contestant Bello Sanchez is recovering from a tragic car crash that happened on Oct. 19. He is expected to make a full recovery and is suffering from post traumatic stress among other bodily injuries.
"It's a miracle that reality TV star Bello Sanchez is alive, doctors say, following near-fatal head-injuries that he received during a car accident in metro Los Angeles," a representative for Sanchez told People.
The Cycle 22 contestant was driving his Infiniti G37 after a fashion show through a suburb of La Crescenta, California. According to the statement, "he fell asleep at the wheel due to exhaustion and overwork following an intense schedule of appearances in fashion shows in Los Angeles and Atlanta."
Sanchez was found unconscious on the ground next to the driver's side after trying to get away from the smoking car. Doctors have said that if the airbags had not deployed, the accident would have been fatal and Sanchez would have gone head-first through the windshield.

The model set up a GoFundMe page to help raise money to offset his medical costs. He is currently without any medical insurance and is hoping to raise $30,000.
The ANTM contestant moved to Los Angeles with hopes of becoming a model at the age of 19, and with only $200 in his pocket, he found himself living on the infamous Skid Row.
The house was so filthy that the carpet had maggots," he said in an interview. "I would not be able to sleep a full eight hours because the flies would wake me. I couldn't take a shower in there either because the bathtub would have maggots. I would have to sneak into high schools in the neighborhood and pretend to be a student [to shower there]."
Sanchez supported himself by picking up several old jobs before deciding to travel across the country to audition for ANTM as many times as he could.
